
Ashlee R. Bruggenschmidt is the principal of Sharon School in New burgh, Indiana, and the President of the Play for Kate Foundation. She holds her Masters in School Administration from Indiana State University, a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana, and an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville.
She was awarded the IASP State of Indiana Elementary Principal of the Year in 2019. She continues to have a real passion for helping others, not only within her career but within our community as well. She started the Play for Kate Foundation after her daughter, Kate Bruggenschmidt, died from an ATV accident at 11 years old. Outside of Ashlee’s professional accomplishments and community involvement, she enjoys exercise, reading, and boating. She is also a huge sports fan.
