Growing up, I played any and every sport I could. I loved being physically active and working hard to be the best I could be. I continued this throughout my collegiate career through intramural sports as well as being an active member of my college dance team. Though I have always been extremely active throughout my life, I struggled with maintaining a healthy weight until my junior year of college. That is when I started looking into more of what I was putting in my body to fuel it and how my body needed to be fueled properly. It was through trial and error that everything finally clicked together as I prioritized my nutrition alongside my physical activity.

Years later in 2013 I finally acknowledged how my mental health struggles with anxiety and depression were playing a vital role in my overall wellness. I have since used the past decade to really dig deeper into the field of health and wellness becoming not only a certified nutrition coach but also a certified personal trainer with several other certifications under my coaching and training umbrella.

So know, I have been where you are. I too struggled with understanding nutrition and how what I was putting in my body was affecting me in more ways than my weight. Now I stand before you, having found my nutritional happiness ready to help others find their own version of nutritional success.

I grew up in a big, busy family. Breakfast was quick and easy, lunch was whatever the school served and dinner was whatever my mom had time to cook after work or fast food. I know there are so many families that can relate to this. The thing is, twenty years ago being knowledgeable about health and nutrition wasn’t easily obtainable information for the everyday person. Nutritionists were extremely expensive and the internet lacked easy resources that could be trusted. Today is a different story. We have more obtainable resources, more opportunities to ask for help, tips and tricks to setting and hitting realistic goals.

I became a nutrition coach to help others find the right balance for their life and help them to understand that we don’t fit our lives around nutrition, we fit our nutritional success in the life we desire. I have personally navigated an abundance of challenges and changes with my nutritional journey and I am here to tell you that you can do it too.

I know it can seem overwhelming and impossible to navigate but with a little help, it’s not so bad. As a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer, I can take a look at your needs with a complete holistic approach, devise a plan that suits your lifestyle and together we can achieve the goals you set for yourself.
